Here at Cook’s, we are of the opinion that it is important to live in an energetic community and be involved. Hence why we continually support local sports clubs and sports people, non-profit organisations, as well as local charity renovations. We believe that through the simply act of giving lasting relationships can be built and a community can continue grow.
SPORTS INVOLVEMENT
Jack Brubaker, WBC Youth World & OPBF Welterweight Champ
Proud main sponsor of former plumber Jack Brubaker in support to help him turn pro. These days Jack is able to concentrate on becoming a professional athlete, training 5 days a week. His career stats show 12 wins and only one loss to date.
Carlingford Cougars
A Rugby League club that has given thousands of kids the opportunity to play a sport and become part of a team. The Carlingford Cougars have been established since 1966 and Cook’s Plumbing Supplies has been a long-standing supporter of the club.
Hills District Junior Rugby League – Hills Bull
The Hills Bulls have been providing an opportunity for children and young men in Sydney’s Hills district to learn the game, play the game and love the game of Rugby League for over 50 years. We are proud to be supporting them in their endeavours.
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Surf Life Saving
We continue to show our ongoing support to Surf Life Saving, which enables them to purchase new equipment required to make our Australian beaches safer for everyone.
Men’s Shed
Through a national Plumbing Plus initiative we have collectively raised funds for local Men’s Sheds surrounding our network of NSW and QLD stores, which enables local members to purchase supplies.
One80TC – Woman’s Centre
Through the donation of bathroom products the construction of the brand new One80TC Women’s Shelter in the Lower Blue Mountains could take shape, offering women aged between 18 – 35 a residential centre that will help them successfully recover from a lifestyle of addiction. The ONE80TC program has been a very successful one nationally and restores hope, rebuilds dreams and rescues lives.
A Current Affair charity renovations, Channel 9 Sydney
Thanks to our relationship with BuildBITS, we have been fortunate enough to get involved in some great home renovations in our local communities. By providing quality and reliable plumbing products we could ensure that the newly renovated homes, including their new bathrooms and kitchens, would stand the test of time.
CHARITY INVOLVEMENT
Children’s hospital, Westmead
Seeing a sick child tends to tug at everyone’s heart strings. By continually supporting the Children’s Hospital at Westmead, our donations would have assisted in the purchase of advanced medical equipment, fund vital research into the causes and cures for childhood illnesses and to maintain the total healing environment central to the wellbeing of children and families.
Ronald McDonald house, Westmead
Holding a raffle & getting some of our account customers and staff involved, has proven to be a successful way to raise funds for the Ronald McDonald house in late 2016. The generous donations have supported one of the many long stay families who are going through extended treatments and we were able to ‘pick up the tab’ for one of them for 46 nights.
Starlight Foundations
We have proudly supported the Starlight Foundation for numerous years by contribution high value auction prizes in the form of bathroom or kitchen renovation packages for their Sydney Star Ball.
